These include the storybook ‘Story of Incident or Accident’ and ‘Room Number Thirty-two’, the travelogue ‘Nine Nights with Humayun Ahmed’, ‘Sixteen Centuries Ago: In the Land of the Lightning Dragon’ and ‘Gangtake Gandakal in Darjeeling’ and the memoirs’ Humayun Ahmed’s Other . There are nine edited books including ‘Anisuzzaman: Deepra Manisha’ and ‘Sansar with pen of Syed Shamsul Haque’. There are also artistic walks on the small screen. His five TV dramas, a telefilm and a 55-episode drama series have received critical acclaim. He is the former President of Bangladesh Knowledge and Creative Publishers Association, Vice President of Asia Pacific Publishers Association and the current President of Dhaka Metropolitan Committee of Bangladesh Book Publishers and Sellers Association. He won the City Bank Anand Alo Sahitya Puraskar and the Prothom Alo Sahitya Puraskar in West Bengal, India. He is survived by his wife Tanzina Rahman Swarna and two sons Amiya Mazhar and Anboy Mazhar.
